Roast along Ep3 with #Barty cooking the Peach (Don Pepe) and Guatemala Organic RFA

Every Saturday morning without fail #Barty has been getting up early to roast all orders that have come in for the week, as well as, making sure he spends some quality time profiling a new green-bean for you guys.

It's a pretty chatty episode so we've left a time guide below.

#Barty goes into the roasting process, tasting notes, Little Barty, how we personalise profiles, our made-to-order Unique Selling Proposition (USP), and enjoying a couple of uninterrupted hours, staying present, being in the moment & focusing on cooking up some good vibes for you guys.

In the first half, #Barty cooks one of our specialty profiles the Peach #Barty from the Don Pepe Estate a washed green that's currently in our store, it’s been specifically profiled for your filter pour-over, it’s smooth, well balanced with candy sweetness, watermelon, pink lady apples, apricots, peaches and pears.

For the second half at 20:00 mins, #Barty cooks the Guatemala Organic FRA UTZ bird Friendly SHB Ceylan profile #0930 from our Back Catalogue for the first time.

This is a super fine quality coffee, in every aspect it is simply magnificent. Guatemalan organic is highly complex and exudes immense flavor characteristics, similar in some ways to malt toffee syrup. This is definitely one of the finest coffees from Guatemala and possesses a velvety body with a rich and lively aroma, and fine acidity.

Our personalised profiling and QA 21:55 process is what we pride ourselves on at #Barty because we make sure that before any bag of coffee that leaves the roastery is checked, cupped, tasted, and comes with a profile number -- which can be used to share your feedback, re-order or ask for the profile to be dialed up or down to your personal taste.

Barty charges the Guatemala Organic (GT) at 30:50 exactly. Barty also explains why he loves the roasting process -- it's a clean slate profiling a new green each time. Making sure you understand that every season will produce a very different lot of coffee.
